The Good Christmas Tree
A downloadable game
This small game is inspired by one of my favorite childhood books “The Good Little Christmas Tree” by Ursula Moray Williams.
You play as a Christmas tree who wants to make itself festive with decorations in hopes to go back to your home or town to bring joy to the children. You venture around the woods and come across various creatures who give you an array of things as decorations. Use the descriptions of the creatures to decide what they end up giving you.
You will need:
- One six sided die
- One coin
To play:
Roll your 1d6 to see who you come across in the wood. Flip the coin to determine if they have the item you need right now. One a heads, they have an item on hand for you. On a tails, they have something, but it might be incomplete or they need to finish making it. You can give them something that you picked up along the way, or you can come back to them later.
Do this as many times as you wish and finish the game when you feel you have enough decorations to make the children happy.
Currently, there is a business card size and plain text version available. The plain text version is also accessible friendly. I hope to have a prettier page version with more images at a later point.
Updated files for wording.
